Our innovative progress in Polymer-Based Ultrathin Membranes has been published in Adv. Funct. Mater.

Recently, PhD candidate Yufan Ji has published a new paper “High-Performance CO2 Capture through Polymer-Based Ultrathin Membranes” in Adv. Funct. Mater. (https://doi.org/10.1002/adfm.201900735), representing a innovative progress in the ultrathin film composite (UTFC) membranes. This work demonstrates a facile and generic interface-decoration-layer strategy combining with molecular-scale organic-inorganic hybridization in the selective layer to realize high-performance UTFC membranes for CO2 capture with the ultrathin selective layer about 100 nm. This is our first work about polymer-based ultrathin membranes. The synergistic strategy proposed here is highly reproducible and can be extended to a wide range of membrane materials, promising to produce high-efficiency ultrathin membranes for molecular separation.
